Terms governing use of Viora Desktop, the Viora website, accounts, subscriptions, AI features, connectors, user content, and support services.
2026/04/28
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Viora, including the Viora website, Viora Desktop for macOS, account features, subscriptions, credits, cloud transcription, agent features, meeting features, notes, skills, connectors, and related services.
By creating an account, downloading Viora Desktop, subscribing, or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you use Viora on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity under your account, except for activity caused by Viora's breach of these Terms or applicable law.
You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Subject to these Terms, Viora grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Viora Desktop for your personal or internal business use.
You may not:
Viora Desktop may request macOS permissions such as microphone, accessibility, screen recording, notifications, and launch-at-login. These permissions are used to provide features you choose, such as recording speech, inserting text into other apps, capturing system audio for meetings, showing status, and starting Viora at login.
You can revoke permissions in macOS System Settings. Some features may stop working when permissions are revoked.
"User Content" means information you provide to or process through Viora, including audio, transcripts, prompts, selected text, active-window context, selected file metadata, notes, feedback, dictionary terms, custom skills, learned workflows, and connector-related data.
You keep ownership of your User Content. You grant Viora a limited license to host, store, transmit, process, display, reproduce, and create technical derivatives of User Content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.
Viora does not use your User Content to train models.
Viora is a cloud-assisted product. When you use dictation, agent mode, text-input agent mode, or meeting mode, Viora may send audio, text, and relevant context to Viora backend systems. Those systems may securely store the data as described in the Privacy Policy.
For Desktop task content, Viora's external model processing is limited to large-model calls through Fireworks AI. Viora does not send Desktop task content to unrelated third-party APIs, ad networks, or data brokers.
You are responsible for having the right to record, transcribe, upload, or process audio and content you provide. This includes getting consent from meeting participants where required by law or policy.
Viora uses automated systems to produce transcripts, refined text, summaries, agent responses, and other outputs. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, offensive, or unsuitable for a particular purpose.
You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it, publishing it, sending it, executing instructions based on it, or using it for legal, medical, financial, employment, safety, or other high-impact decisions.
Viora may offer connectors or sign-in options for third-party services. If you connect a third-party service, your use of that service remains subject to the third party's own terms and policies.
Current Desktop task content is not sent directly to third-party connector APIs. If a future connector feature reads from or writes to an external service on your behalf, Viora will disclose that behavior and may require additional authorization.
Viora is not responsible for third-party services, outages, policy changes, data handling, or content, except where applicable law says otherwise.
Paid plans, trials, and credit packages are described on the pricing or checkout pages. Prices, plan limits, credits, and included features may change prospectively.
When you start a paid subscription, you authorize the payment provider to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Unless stated otherwise at checkout:
Viora may use Stripe or another payment provider to process payments and manage customer portal sessions. The payment provider's terms and policies apply to payment processing.
You may not use Viora to:
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access where appropriate.
If you submit ideas, bug reports, suggestions, or other feedback, you grant Viora a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback without restriction or obligation to compensate you. This does not transfer ownership of your underlying User Content.
Viora, the website, Desktop app, design, software, trademarks, logos, documentation, and related materials are owned by Viora or its licensors. Except for the limited license granted above, these Terms do not grant you any rights in Viora intellectual property.
Viora may update the website, backend, Desktop app, pricing, plan limits, models, features, APIs, and documentation. Some updates may be required for continued use.
We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that Viora will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times. Cloud transcription, model providers, payment providers, operating system permissions, network conditions, and third-party services may affect availability.
Some features may be beta, preview, invite-only, experimental, or subject to change. Beta features may be less reliable, may change without notice, and may be removed.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information. By using Viora, you acknowledge that your information will be handled according to the Privacy Policy.
You may stop using Viora at any time. You may also cancel subscriptions through available billing controls.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for Viora or others, fail to pay amounts due, or if we are required to do so by law. We may also discontinue the service or a feature with reasonable notice where practical.
Termination does not eliminate payment obligations already incurred or provisions that by their nature should survive, including intellectual property, payment, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions.
Viora is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Viora disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.
No oral or written information from Viora creates a warranty unless expressly stated in a written agreement signed by Viora.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Viora will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or replacement services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Viora's total liability for claims related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Viora for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold Viora harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your User Content, your use of Viora, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of someone else's rights.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will apply prospectively unless required otherwise by law. Your continued use of Viora after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
